August Week/Month Expenses

August 9th, 2006 at 05:07 am

Rent $100
Rent for Apartment $100
Child Care $90
Car Insurance $68 (Monthly)
Credit Card $10 (make full payment-Monthly)
Simpleology $49

I BELIEVE that is everything.

I made some Changes with my Taxes and I am getting $100 from Rent.com for picking an Apartment from there website but that will probably be weeks to obtain.

I am going to Pinch every Penny so I can work towards my Goals.

If I want Pizza, Little Caesars has $5 Pizza

If I want a Cheeseburger, Wendy's has a Value Menu for 99 cents.

Really looking forward to get started with Coupons. Reading a Post I See it will only take a few minutes a week.

The only thing I do not get is it worth it to visit numerous Groceries stores, use your gas and your time to get a Good deal or stick with one Grocery store?

I am a BIG fan of refundcents its a magazine & website. Now you can get the website without the magazine & it is very reasonable. You can try it out for 3 months.Everyone I recommended it to who subscribed said they got there money back the first month.I know I save alot every month. Some people say you can find the same info for free online but most of the time that involves visiting lots of website. On this site everything is condensed for you& you can ask questions. It will save you time & gas.Today I ordered a king down mattress pad(goes under the sheet)made like a big pillow for 12.98 (that included shipping) thanks to someone on this site. But its more about saving then spending.Last month I got about 75 shampoos that cost me 20.00 but I have a coupon for 20.00 off anything in there store (cvs). So the shampoo was free. The website told me where to find the coupons( they werent in the same store).
Ok Im through with the sales pitch.Goodluck with your couponing.

I live in a small town and the two grocery stores are within a mile. If they were far apart, I would not go to save a few cents.

Is it possible to carpool? I don't have a car, so that's what I do. I either carpool (usually with my roommate or a colleague from work), or walk to the nearest grocery store. Walking to the store not only saves on gas, it also really curbs those temptations to splurg on various inessential items. Am I really willing to carry that box of ice cream home? No! (Plus, it'll melt.) See? Smile
For a simpler answer, I'd just calculate how much it would cost to drive to and from the store(s) based on current gas prices, the distance, and the mileage of your car, and compare with the savings on your grocery bill from the store(s). That'll give you the bottom line as to whether it's worth it.

Keep us posted on what you decide works out for you!
