Telephone CONVINENCE FEES!

October 16th, 2006 at 07:16 am

That is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. THIS IS TWICE I had to pay it, would prefer to Pay my Bills Online but I cannot seem to do that when the Website is not functioning correctly.

Anyway, HOW Can you Charge someone for PAYING their BILL??? That is just so rediculous!

Two $3 Convinence fees for WANTING TO PAY MY BILL! Next month the website better be functioning so I can Pay my Bills Online LIKE I like to do!

EDIT TO ADD: It is an Automated System via Telephone to Pay by Phone.

If the site was not functioning, the fee should be waived---I would challenge the fee with the manager.

Unfortunately, more and more businesses are charging for the priveledge of the 'human touch'...Banks tried this years ago and it failed miserably...but the trend is making a comeback and many 'human' jobs are being replaced by electronic means.

Another trend is outsourcing those calls to foreign countries...ever tried disputing a claim with someone who doesnt understand you?? or you them?

WHAT???? Ok, that is a new low. What about all those folks who, for whatever reason (age, disability, personal preference) dont or cant use the internet????

Big strike against whatever company this is.

There is a credit card that charges something like $14.95 to use a pay by phone service. I forget which one that is. Outrageous!

My electric bill is liike this. There is a 4$ fee to do anything other than send a check. This inlcuded dropping it off in person in cash. I find this very annoyihng. I get around it by using an internet pay system through my credit union. They then cut the electric co a check and mail it. This is necessary because the co won't accept electronic transfers. Can you spell archaic.
