On Short Term Disability

Starting today. Made sure I got ALL my information in and I am meeting with the Surgen today about when we will be doing my Hernia Surgery. I am going to make sure I stay on top of my paperwork and such so I can get Paid while I am out. I just have a bunch of bills due Frown .

    Yes, indeed. Getting ready for surgery can be likened to a preganant woman getting ready to give birth. You don't know how incapacitated you might be and for how long, so you keep in mind that you will most likely have an optimnal outcome, but that you could be one of the few who needs extra time and whose energy level is sapped by healing and tending to everyday matters. So you get as many things in order ahead of time as possible. Pay all the bills. Tidy the extra bedroom in case someone has to come stay with you. Wash up all the laundry and put it away partly for the same reason as the bedroom tidying. Tell your mate where the things are that are usually your own responsibility --just in case they will have to do it. In pregnancy, some people call it nesting, but I think it is just common sense when you know there is a possible trouble ahead.

    But probably it will all be much better than you imagined and your surgery will make you happy shortly. Good luck and good surgeon!
