Unpaid Medical Bills & Debt

April 8th, 2008 at 04:16 am

I am sorry, but I have been trying to avoid these like the plague until I can find a financial solution to pay all of them at once. Well, I feel overwhelmed with all these statements and decided to pay all of the ones I can right now (under $100) and then work on the bigger ones.

It is always good to get started somewhere. Keep up the good work.

It's easy to feel overwhelmed, I like to think of every payment I make (even the little ones) as one little step closer than I was yesterday. It helps. Smile

I understand about the sheer volume of bills you can get with medical issues. We've been getting bills for Hubby's surgery for months. I have resorted to paying them in little batches. I match them up with insurance papers to find out just what they are and then pay a couple at a time. I've been making notes on the insurance listings so that I won't pay some of them twice (I've gotten two duplicates). Some are little amounts that fit into the budget easier than the chunks. Keep chipping away at it...Maybe the bigger ones will allow you to pay them in installments. Good luck! I've been feeling the same way about the credit card debts. They don't seem to be going anywhere!
