Bills....Bills....Bills....

March 31st, 2005 at 07:28 pm

Well, I have a NEW Plan set out. I guess you can never stick to one Plan.

I decided on my next check I am going to pay some Medical Bills instead of waiting to pay them. After all the stuff I had bought this last week I think it would make sense throwing away some of that money on my own Debt. I also decided I am going to get Direct Deposit set up for my Savings just so I won't touch any of the money that I could be saving. I am also waiting to qualify for Benefits at work so I can get Tuition Reimbursement and an FSA account.

I am also STILL waiting for my headset so I can start my Work at Home Job. If you are reading this and you want to work at home I recommend visiting http://www.mommysplace.net she offers FREE information and Job Listings about working from home and also how to start your own Virtual Assistant Services.

Now I have to what I am going to do with my Business(es)? Yes, I will be selling AVON soon and I starting this new thing for Credit Solutions.

I would like to put more money in AmeriPlan because that is where my Business lies. That is why I need to study Dani Johnson and get going with my Business. I am still focusing on the Retail portion of the Business. I think I may put an Ad in my local paper and see what happens.

I just wanted to add that I am also going to take a look at my Credit Report and start paying those bills as well. I would love to be on a clean slate before I move into my own house.

$694.00

I have a Pell Grant but my Grant will only cover so much. I have to pay another $200 for 2 books for two classes online.

-$200

------------------->$894.00

GRAND TOTAL: $583.60

I can SAVE that money, put some of it towards my Business and maybe do a little shopping.

Now this is fixed living at Home. My parents and I have an agreement as to how much I pay which covers utilities, DirecTV, DSL, Cell, Telephone etc.....

My Goal is to save $400 a month. I could probably do that especially if I have a part-time job and with a Car I should still be able to come out even.

Any ideas? Leave me a comment and let me know Smile

Cash on Hand- $41.00
Bank Total- $53.01

Ameriplan $35.00
AVON $5.00 (will be joining AVON)
Lunch @ Work- $33.68 (Next Check)
AVON order $35.00 (Next Check)
AVON Check for this order $12.67 (Not been deposited yet)

TOTAL: $7.00 till next payday.

More Spending Saturday

March 27th, 2005 at 03:33 pm

I had spent alot of money on Saturday.

Thrift Store $18.00

Smiths $30.00

Gave Brother $10.00

Credit/Mortgage System $60.00 (Debit Card)

Paraliminal CD $34.95 (Debit Card)

TOTAL: $152.95

CASH: $47.00
Bank TOTAL: $148.10

Still OWE:
AmeriPlan $35.00
AVON $12.00+

I guess I just splurged and I didn't care to think of the consequences and I rationalized about waiting to get my Car. I don't necessarily feel guilty, I just know it wasn't the right thing to do and sometimes emotions play into spending as well. $694.00

I have a Pell Grant but my Grant will only cover so much. I have to pay another $200 for 2 books for two classes online.

March 22nd, 2005 at 07:19 pm

Well today I spent $1.92 and I emailed the Payroll Manager and asked her how does deducting from paycheck work from eating in the Cafeteria.

Today I bought a Cookie and a breadstick for my Spaghetti O's.

You know, the best way to save money is eat like a Child.

AmeriPlan $35.00
TOTAL: $702.45

Anyway, I have been trying to build my business in the mean time since I have to put a short hold on my Part time Job. The Lady wanted me to start Friday but I told her my headset didn't work and I would have to have it replaced. I bought it on eBay and the guy is going to exchange it.

I have two potential prospects interested in the Discount Health Care Plan. I am just not good at expressing the value of the Plan so I think that is why they may be hesitant. But the plan works very well! It has been around for 12 years and has a high retention rate. But, I know what it is like to make decisions that could affect me financially.

Well I finally have my Digital Camera set up and it just occurred to me that I can put some things on eBay.

I got the feeling I am not going to have much left for play money after this check. Frown But that is ok, my Savings is real important to get a Car.

$694.00

I have a Pell Grant but my Grant will only cover so much. I have to pay another $200 for 2 books for two classes online.

-$200

------------------->$894.00

Got out of the House today

March 20th, 2005 at 05:08 am

Went and hung out with my Sponsor who got me into my Business. WE bounced some ideas off each other like we usually do and decided since Spring/Summer is coming up that we should start booking Fairs and Festivals for the MLM Business. I also gave my Sponsor some of my leads since I am not ready to jump back into the game yet.

I am very Proud that I am in the Business I am in. Since I was able to save my mom 50% off her Prescription I am very happy.

I decided it would be SMARTER of me to start BUILDING my Business instead of just trying to find ways to supplement my income, but who says I cannot do both?

We also went out to eat and I spent $7.08 and now I am SURE I have $1.49 in my Checking Account.

Then we went browsing through different stores deciding on decor for my dream house. I never knew Window Shopping could be so fun!

Bought Lunch

March 18th, 2005 at 08:59 pm

Which ok and NOT ok. It is ok because it is Friday and I get paid next week and the only other bill I will have is Rent and I am stashing the rest away for my Car.

Lunch @ Work Bill is $22.45
Rent is: $240.00

I hope I do not spend any money for lunch next week except for Friday.

Leftovers are good but I cannot stand to eat Ramen all the time. I need variety.

I start my part time Job next week & then I will need to figure out a way to use my income all over again because I will be saving Money for Long Term, Short Term and for Liz.

I am so Proud of Myself and My Mom for taking a chance on my Discount Health Care Business.

My mom is having issues with their new insurance company and she was going to have to end up paying full price for her prescription and I talked her into using my Discount Health Care Card from Ameriplan she since is covered on it (I live with my family right now) and she ended up SAVING 50%!!!

She ended up only paying $7.76 and originally it was $13.99.

Health Fair=Freebies, Discounts and Good Health!

March 17th, 2005 at 09:50 pm

Well we had a Health Fair at Work today and I got all kinds of free goodies...like pens, posters etc....

I also did some screenings test for Glucose, Bone Density and Cholesterol and discovered that I am "high borderline" for my Cholesterol rating.

The highlights of the event was the food! Wild Oats had a booth and a discount coupon for 10% off and Make-your-own Trail Mix. I also got some STOP SMOKING Posters to hang in my room so that whenever she comes into my room she will see it and maybe quit smoking.

I got some Nutritional Information and signed up for $5 teeth cleaning at a local dentist.

It was really fun and now I am extremely tired!

Wednesday Spending Log

March 16th, 2005 at 07:23 pm

Well I deposited my $90.00 check to myself into My Savings Account at my Credit Union.

I bought Lunch using my CASH I had leftover from the Weekend. I spent $4.95 and plus .75 cents at the Candy Machine.

So the CASH I have leftover is $1.00 and I have about .55 cents to put into my Money Jar. Smile

I am already planning next payday and the only Bill I have is Rent.

I am almost ready for my second Job, I am just waiting for my headset.

Online Bank Amount: $109.57 but $90.00 is being deposited today into my Credit Union Savings Account.
Sill waiting for Fund. Brownies check to go through $11.00

REMAINING BANK BALANCE: $8.57 till next Payday.

$694.00

I have a Pell Grant but my Grant will only cover so much. I have to pay another $200 for 2 books for two classes online.

-$200

------------------->$894.00

Spent .75 cents today

March 15th, 2005 at 07:07 pm

I am eating Ramen for Lunch, I brought my own soda pop and I will be spending .75 cents in the Candy Machine. Which will leave me .25 cents left over to put in my Money Jar. Smile

I am also going to write myself a check to deposit into Savings for the amount of $90.00 at My Credit Union.

I LOVE Online Banking- It is the best way to keep track of what you are spending.

I decided when I have both my Savings Accounts the one for Long Term and Short Term Goals that I will deposit 10% into my Short Term and $400 a month into my Long Term account.

New Short Term Goals

March 15th, 2005 at 05:26 am

I need a Break! I have been working my tail off and I have NOT had a Vacation, never!

Well, I decided I am going to do two things for my next short term goals after I get my Car.

I will be saving to either go to Wendover or Vegas and I will be to get a Massage at some kind of Massage School (I see it advertised all the time!) and it is cheap!

I am up to $130 in Savings and by my next paycheck I will probably have enough for my Car to purchase at an Auction.

Then I will be Saving for both My Long Term and Short Term Goals and began playing in the Stock Market!

Savings Deposit

March 14th, 2005 at 09:32 pm

Well since My Budget did not go as planned, I am able to SAVE even MORE! So because I have saved $10.50 from not having to buy the Girl Scout Cookies and because I had Saved $15.00 on my School Books then I will be able to Deposit $90.00 instead of $60.00.

Which will equal to $130.00 towards my Car. (I already opened one with $40.00)

I plan on making the Deposit some time this week. I am excited!

On my next check I will be able to SAVE $400.00 and then go to the Car Auction. Then I can prepare for my next Short term Goal. Yippee!

Now I know with a Car I will have more expenses such as Insurance, Gas and Maintenance but I will also be starting my second Job from Home. So then I will still be able to Save money. I also plan on playing the Stock Market Game and if I play it well then I will earn a good amount of money as well.

Top Ramen Noodles

March 11th, 2005 at 06:02 pm

You know Ramen Noodles are good for you for various reasons...

One, they are Cheap. They average between I believe .07 to .14 cents a pop.

Two, they are Good. The seasonings are added just right and you can always add (My favorite: Crackers & Hot Sauce)

Three, you can make various things with Ramen. From Stir Fry to Pizza.

Four, they are good for your Diet-I have heard a couple of things from people how they use Noodles as a way to lose weight.

Whether your a College Student, Single Mom, Frugal Family you can eat Noodles and Save!

When I was in Job Corps I sometimes did not go to dinner so I went to my "Locker" and pulled out my Noodles and cooked them-they are really relaxing (Like Coffee) because they are warm and they are soup.

I think Ramen Noodles are a great addition to any household Pantry.

And right now as I am at work I am going to make me some for Lunch.

More Leftovers

March 9th, 2005 at 08:39 pm

That makes me happy. I ate my Leftovers today. So, I saved another $5.00 for Lunch. I am proud of myself. Smile

Friday is Bill day but I am determined to save at least $60.00 which will total to $100.00 in Savings.

I feel I am disorganized and I need to fix some things in my Personal Life, School and Business.

I will be getting my Sales Aids for my Business today and I only had to pay $19 and the value was almost $50 but because I had Certificates I saved almost 75% and I am getting over 100 Brochures and some other little things.

Tomorrow for Lunch will either be Spaghetti Os, Ramen or Leftovers if there are any.

To boost my Business I am going to start studying Dani Johnson (MLM Guru) and work on my website so I can hopefully qualify for the $500 Bonus and save that money.

$694.00

I have a Pell Grant but my Grant will only cover so much. I have to pay another $200 for 2 books for two classes online.

Why?

March 8th, 2005 at 08:13 pm

Why did I buy lunch again? I have $22.49 that will be deducted from my paycheck because I decided to buy lunch again. I had brought Macaroni and Cheese plus a Drink and I still opted to buy Lunch!

How do you avoid the temptation to buy something? I am having a hard time with Disciplining myself. I really wished I didn't. I could have used that money towards my Savings.

After all my bills and expenses I will see how much I can deposit into my account.

I am still looking into part-time employment.

Saving Options

March 6th, 2005 at 06:59 pm

I had been thinking lately of opening up a CD for a year because I would like to earn the maximum on the money I had SAVED so I can use it for any income that I will need for a House or Mobile Home. The interest rate on a CD with ING Direct is 3% so I can have at least $5,000 in Savings. I figure if I cut corners and budget my Car and Child Expenses that I will be able to save a good amount of money in a year. I REALLY want to save $400 a month and I understand that there are birthdays, holidays, unexpected expenses but I really think I can do it.

Savings Accounts

CD-Long Term Goals
Savings 1- Short Term Goals
Savings 2- Emergency Funds
CD 2- Elizabeth Savings Account

Those are the accounts I need. Right now I only have one and that is used for Short Term Goals.

Is it really possible to save $400 a month and still have money for all other Savings accounts?

I really need to find a way to supplement my income. Am I going to extremes?

I decided I am going to concentrate on my Business, learn how to live below my Means and Save and Be Frugal. Because that is the only way I am going to be able to save enough to live on. I would rather have the CD and not touch the money and earn higher interest than have a Savings Account and possibly touching the money.

At this moment until I get my Car I am going to wait to open up a CD Account.

I will need to build my business in order to open up an account for Elizabeth and have an Account for Emergency Funds.

So I am going to start small and work my way up.

Unexpected Cash

March 6th, 2005 at 05:42 am

Well today was a good day. I went to the Swap Meet and was given $20.00 to purchase something and instead of Saving it I purchased a Blouse. The blouse looks nice on me but maybe I really didn't need it?

I also recieved a $10.00 check from Job Corps for taking their survey because I was a previous student and I used in to go out to dinner with my Sponsor so we can hang out and talk about Business.

TOTAL: $30.00

I still question as if I should have SAVED it or not and one of the money saving tips is to SAVE unexpected Cash.

I do not completely regret spending it nor do I completely agree with spending it.

Anyway, I am going to set aside $50.00 a month for my Advertising for my Business because I now have Ecommerce which makes it a little easier for people to sign up as a Member or Broker.

I am disappointed in my spending actions lately. I am also disappointed that I have not followed through. I realize I have resources and I need to utilize them to their FULL Potential and I not doing that.

After reading some Journals I noticed people have set aside "no spend days." I am going to achieve that and focus soley on the things that are necessity.

I am also going to focus more on necessary investments that can INCREASE my cash flow such as Real Estate Investing and my MLM Business. Plus find a way to supplement my employment.

I also come to the conclusion that short term benefits are not as Beneficial as the long term rewards I can have.

One good thing is I have started putting change in my Money Jar.

------------------->$894.00

$16.35!!!

March 4th, 2005 at 07:48 pm

I bought lunch again! Which is not good and doesn't help my diet either. Frown

I am going to have to budget a couple of more things into my Budget as well.

1) My Daughter Necessities
2) Advertising for My Business

If you all are all wondering "What" My Business is I sell Discount Health Care for those who cannot afford it. I am not doing very well but I am not going to give up. I think it is a really good MLM company and there are over 45 million people in the United States who are either not insured or underinsured.

Anyway, I am looking into Tuition Reimbursement for June (Offered by My Employer) so I can continue doing Online Classes. That will cut out all Education Costs but I will not be eligible till June.

I am also getting WIC in my new area that I had moved to.

I don't think I will be able to move out for another year. I really would like to have some money in the bank and have supplemental income coming in and my Business booming. I am also looking into getting into Real Estate Investing. But, everything takes time.

Also I figure I will try to get a raise in the next 6-12 months. I understand I am new to the company but if I can get my Spanish back then I am up for a Promotion and then there is an Annual Raise as well.

I think I need a Plan and a little Organization.

Bought Lunch!

March 3rd, 2005 at 07:09 pm

Yes I know, shame on me. I had too. I just didn't want Ramen today but I will eat it tomorrow.

I notice on the reciept that I owe $10.11. I hope that is correct. I do have two previous reciepts from prior purchases. It may have been taken out of my previous paycheck. I checked and it will be taken out of this one.

I am slipping a little with my Budget and Diet.

I do not have to pay the babysitter for two more weeks but now I have to buy books for my Online Classes. UGH!

I am still going to try to put in $200 in my Savings. My next paycheck is next Friday (03/11/2005).

We are also having a Potluck with an Appetizer Theme, I am coordinating this event. Smile

I also bought from one of my co-workers Fundraiser. $11 Brownies.

We are still a week away till next Payday.

Key Notes:
I was NOT Approved for Overdraft Protection. Frown That is ok. I would probably be more in debt if I was.

I recieved my Child Care Assistance for March of $242.00

Spent: $21.11 (Brownies and Lunch)

Waiting for Direct Deposit

$694.00
